Optically Important Cu2 ZnSnS4 (CZTS) Nanoparticles Synthesis using a Hydrothermal Route with Citric acid as a Structure Directing Agent

Copper zinc tin sulphide (CZTS) has emerged as a highly promising, cost-effective, and environmentally friendly material for solar energy conversion via photovoltaic photocatalysis. This paper presents the synthesis of quasi Cu2ZnSnS4 nanoparticles using hydrothermal route with citric acid structure-directing agent. The CZTS nanoparticles' morphological, structural, optical properties were comprehensively analysed X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy, UV-Vis absorption studies. results demonstrate successful novel narrow size distribution, making them excellent candidates absorber layers in cells. discovery holds significant potential advancing low-cost efficient technologies. By harnessing unique CZTS, this research offers promising solution towards sustainable production greener future.
